OUR STORY

Pupusas City was born in 2020 in Long Island, New York, thanks to Iris Viera, her daughter Dayris, and visionary entrepreneur Nelson Emiz, with one dream: to share the authentic flavor of El Salvador with the entire world. What began as a humble food truck quickly transformed into a beloved culinary destination in the community. Today, Pupusas City offers a rich, tradition-filled experience with handcrafted pupusas, including their iconic “Big Yammy” in unique flavors like birria, pastor, and shrimp. With fresh ingredients, traditional techniques, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, the restaurant has won hearts and delighted taste buds. Their clear vision: to expand across the U.S. as a drive-thru franchise, bringing Salvadoran flavor and spirit to every corner of the country.
